Ramal Faunteroy, Morgan State

Ramal Faunteroy enters his first season as the Bears’ defensive line coach, bringing over a decade of experience. He spent nine seasons at Shepherd University, where his defensive units led NCAA Division II in rushing defense four times and reached the 2015 national championship game. He coached standout players like All-American Shaneil Jenkins and NFL player Howard Jones. Faunteroy also had coaching stints at Fairmont State, Seton Hill, and Furman, producing multiple all-conference and All-American players while participating in the prestigious Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellowship with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

As a player, Faunteroy was a standout defensive end at Shepherd, helping win two WVIAC championships before playing for the Manchester Wolves in the Arena 2 Football League. He earned his degree from Shepherd in 2011 and was selected for the NFL and NCAA Coaches Academy.
