Jason Maas was named Coach of the Year for the 2024 CFL season after leading the Montreal Alouettes to their first division title since 2012, finishing with a 12-5-1 record. Under Maas, the Alouettes topped the league in quarterback completion percentage (71.3%), offensive touchdowns allowed (31), and yards allowed per play (6.32), marking their best record since 2009.
Maas joins a prestigious group of Alouettes coaches to win the award, including Marc Trestman, Don Matthews, Charlie Taaffe, and Marv Levy. Alouettes general manager Danny Maciocia praised Maas for establishing a winning culture and ensuring the team’s success, with Maas earning 30 first-place votes from a selection of Football Reporters of Canada and the league’s head coaches.
