DJ Boldin, South Carolina State

D.J. Boldin has joined the South Carolina State Bulldogs Football staff as the Wide Receivers Coach. He brings extensive experience, having recently served as Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Wide Receivers Coach at Lake Erie College, where he led the team to historic victories, including the 2022 Pride and Passion Rivalry Trophy, and mentored nine All-Conference players. Before Lake Erie, Boldin coached high school football in Florida and Tennessee, achieving state-level success at Pahokee High School, where he was named Palm Beach County Coach of the Year.

His professional experience includes three seasons as an assistant coach for the San Francisco 49ers, mentoring Pro Bowl players like Joe Staley and Vernon Davis. Boldin’s playing career featured standout performances at Wake Forest, where he earned First-Team All-ACC honors, and stints with the Detroit Lions and CFL’s Toronto Argonauts.
