Darren Jackson, Hampton

Darren Jackson joined the Hampton coaching staff in 2024 after two seasons as head coach at Sterling College, bringing experience from high school, NAIA, FCS, and FBS levels. A native of Gloucester, Va., he has served as head coach, defensive coordinator, and special teams coordinator, with a key role at Liberty University (2017-19) under Turner Gill, contributing to the Flames’ win over Baylor.

Jackson’s career includes turning around Trinity Bible’s program, leading it to its best record in six seasons, with five players earning NCCAA All-America honors. He has also coached at Colorado Mesa, Evangel, Apprentice School, and University Christian School. A 2020 AFCA 35 Under 35 inductee, Jackson holds a bachelor’s in Education and a master’s in Human Services Counseling-Life Coaching from Liberty University.
