Dan Mulrooney became head coach at Lock Haven on January 31, 2022, and led a dramatic turnaround. In 2023, the Bald Eagles earned their first five-win season since 1982, highlighted by running back Chris Collier, the program’s first PSAC East Offensive Player of the Year. Collier also earned D2CCA All-Region, AFCA All-American, and Don Hansen All-American honors before signing with the Baltimore Ravens — Lock Haven’s first NFL signee since 2011. The 2023 All-PSAC Team featured linebacker Cody Romano (First Team) and Joe Turek and Kasir Henry (Second Team).
Before Lock Haven, Mulrooney led Anna Maria College to its first NCAA tournament berth and ECFC title in 2021, setting school records for wins and player accolades. He also served as defensive coordinator at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where his defense ranked among the Liberty League’s best.
