Cody Kent has been named head coach of the Straubing Spiders for the 2025 German Football League season. The 33-year-old from Marysville, Arkansas, and former U.S. Marine brings nearly a decade of coaching experience to his first head coaching role. Kent spent the last two seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Austria’s Graz Giants, leading them to consecutive semifinal appearances and the league’s top passing offense in 2023.
